Jon Gosselin: From Divorce to Dating Within Days

Jon Gosselin engaged to his wild-child girlfriend?
Not sure what to believe of this report, but here you go.
In Touch Weekly reports that Jon Gosselin proposed to his 22-year-old girlfriend Hailey Glassman during their romantic French getaway over the weekend - and even discussed getting married in Las Vegas.
Lest we forget, he's still married, though wifey Kate has filed for divorce.
“Jon has been telling everyone that he loves her and she loves him, so why waste time?” a source tells In Touch, adding that Gosselin gave his gal pal a $180,000 engagement ring designed by Edouard Nahum — featuring a skull surrounded by four black diamonds.
Let's see, that's the equivalent of how many college educations for his kids?
“They started dating two months ago and they both just knew the other was the one instantly," says the source about the father of eight and his wild-child girlfriend.
The magazine reports that the two stayed in a $2,000-a-night hotel room and were spied drinking champagne, eating lobster and celebrating their engagement. “They all went out to the V.I.P Room nightclub in St. Tropez after dinner,” says another source. “Hailey was flashing her ring around and they were kissing and hugging.”
The magazine found people who knew Glassman in college who say that she's "fame-hungry" and "she's with him to use his money." KansasCity.com

Jon new Girlfriends, Ed Hardy

It was very depressing week for all the Gosselin’s fans.
Today Jon and Kate are filming the Aug. 3rd episode.
Ed Hardy Designer "Not Starting Kids' Clothing Line With" Jon Gosselin

Despite reports that Jon Gosselin and Ed Hardy fashion designer Christian Audigier spent the weekend finalizing a deal to launch a children's clothing line together, the designer's rep tells Usmagazine.com that no such project is happening.
"Christian is absolutely not starting a kids' clothing line with Jon," a rep for Audigier tells Us. "As of right now, there is no clothing line in the works between them at all."Gosselin -- an Ed Hardy fan -- and his 22-year-old girlfriend Hailey Glassman spent the past few days on board Audigier's yacht in St. Tropez in the French Riviera.
On Sunday, E! News reported the father of eight and Audigier met up in France to go over a possible business partnership. "We would like to do a line of children's clothing," Audigier, 51, told E! News.He added: "They're having fun. I"m taking care of them."
Why would the 32-year-old unemployed star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 want to delve into this line of work? He has long been a fan of Audigier's hip clothing line.On June 4, he wore a $275 red sweatshirt while unpacking luggage outside his home in Wernersville Pa. Two days later - while taking 8-year-old twins Cara and Mady to see Disney's Up -- he donned a pair of $150 Ed Hardy jungle-inspired jeans (featuring two angry tigers on the rear). "He seems to love our clothing," Tara Malia Gregory, the company's marketing director, previously told Us. OMG!
Kate Gosselin Still Wearing Jon's Wedding Ring

On Tuesday, she left their eight kids at their $1.1 million home to run errands.
Wearing a floppy hat and sunglasses, Kate stopped by a UPS Store (she was spotted toting the children's magazine Highlights) and later picked up gas. Tellingly, she also was wearing her wedding ring (Kate has said she was "not fond of" the idea of separating).
Kate has been looking after their eight kids ever since Jon took his trip to France with Hailey Glassman last week. Over the weekend - while Jon and Hailey smoked cigarettes and chilled on Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier's yacht - Kate went grocery shopping and had a picnic with the kids.
Jon is expected to return from France today. Filming of their hit TLC show Jon & Kate Plus 8 resumes Aug. 3. It remains to be seen whether Hailey will be a part of the show.
A source tells Us Hailey didn't go out with Jon Monday night in France because she was "upset" over the negative press.US weekly

Hailey Glassman -Jon Gosselin's New Girlfriend
Glassman's wild side is reflected in the fact that she's had a couple of minor encounters with the police since 2005, when she was busted for possession of marijuana. At that time, Glassman, now 22, was caught passing around a marijuana pipe with five other students, according to Indiana University Police Public Information Officer Capt. Jerry Minger. She was found to be in possession of two bags of pot and went through a pretrial diversion program, which is set up for first-time alcohol and drug offenders, says Minger. Her case was closed in November 2006. She was also cited for illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage in Indiana in April 2007 and the case was dismissed two months later. Glassman, who studied tourism management at Indiana University from 2005-2007, met Jon, 32, through her father – the plastic surgeon who gave Jon's wife Kate Gosselin a tummy tuck in 2006 to help her get back in shape after she gave birth to the couple's sextuplets. According to the first source, Glassman, a New York City native, is the type of person who "craves attention." And now she's getting it. After she was spotted getting cozy with the famous reality TV father of eight in Saint-Tropez, Glassman's 2005 mug shot quickly hit the Internet – and interest in her will likely only intensify as long as she's dating Jon Gosselin. Kate Gosselin to attend California women's forum

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Maria Shriver's annual women's conference has always been an A-list affair, and this year's event is no different.
Cindy McCain, Elizabeth Edwards, Katie Couric, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and actress Kelly Preston are among the featured speakers. But the guest likely to draw the most attention is a relative newcomer to the media spotlight — reality TV personality Kate Gosselin.
California's first lady says she invited the star of TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" at the suggestion of her teenage daughters who watch the show.
The invitation was sent five months ago. That was before Gosselin announced that she and her husband, the parents of 5-year-old sextuplets and 8-year-old twins, were splitting after 10 years of marriage.
"I think her life has certainly changed dramatically, but so be it," Shriver told The Associated Press on Wednesday in a telephone interview. "I think that's the beauty of this conference — to have Madeleine Albright and Kate Gosselin at the same place."
Gosselin's speaking role will be relatively minor. She will have 15 minutes on a small stage at a fair where she will be selling her book, "Eight Little Faces: A Mom's Journey."
Shriver described Gosselin as "a real interesting girl" who is facing the challenge of raising eight children and coping with "a lost marriage."

Shriver's conference, to be held Oct. 26-27 in Long Beach, has become an annual showcase of women's issues and success stories.
This year's guest list includes well-known women from the world of politics, sports and entertainment, including Olympic swimming champion Dara Torres and race car driver Danica Patrick.
Preston has agreed to be interviewed for the first time about the death of her 16-year-old son with husband John Travolta. Both actors have kept low profiles since Jett Travolta died following a seizure in January.
Shriver said she will interview Preston as part of a panel on grief, along with Elizabeth Edwards and actress Susan Saint James, whose teenage sons were killed in accidents. The panel will be the only session not broadcast on the Internet.
"All three of them lost sons. All are at different stages of the grief," Shriver said.
The women's conference began 20 years ago under former Gov. George Deukmejian to help female small-business owners. Shriver has turned it into a star-studded affair and her signature event as first lady.
Past guests have included exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, U2 frontman Bono, financial guru Suze Orman and Martha Stewart.
The event also has drawn controversy. In 2004, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was criticized after he mocked nurses who unveiled a protest banner during his speech, prompting him to remark that special interests didn't like him "because I'm always kicking their butts." He later acknowledged that he should not have made the comment.
Schwarzenegger, who as governor has struggled to win approval for many of his reforms, also is scheduled to speak at this year's conference, titled "Architects of Change." Shriver said her husband, like many politicians, business owners and nonprofit groups, is facing tough challenges trying to deal with a national recession.
"There isn't a policy leader in this country at any level that isn't having a challenging time," Shriver said. "To single out Arnold as having a challenging time is not factually correct." Chrom

Jon & Kate Gosselin Together for July 4th with Children

Although divorce papers have been filed, Jon and Kate Gosselin have made good on their pledge to focus on their children, reuniting for a July 4 picnic with their eight kids. At their home in Wernersville, Pa., the family played volleyball and picked blueberries for a cake that Kate was baking, while Jon was seen lighting up a sparkler. The event had been planned, as the stars of TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8 agreed weeks ago to set aside their differences for the holiday. "Jon pointed to the July 4 holiday and said, 'What are we going to do about that?'" Kate told PEOPLE in a recent cover story. "I absolutely cannot imagine not spending every single holiday with my kids. I don't care what it takes. I will be there."People.com

Jon and Kate Gosselin's Old House Still for Sale

Are Jon and Kate Gosselin victims of the nation's poor housing market? Their Cape Cod-style home in Elizabethtown, Pa., has been on the market for 89 days – and counting – records show. The price for the 5-bedroom 2½-bath house has stayed constant at $325,000. (They paid $280,000 for it in 2006). On season four, of Jon & Kate Plus Eight an episode showed contractors getting the house in tip-top shape – including removing lighting that had been installed for filming purposes – before it went up for sale. The home is in a suburban neighborhood where the houses are built fairly close together on approximately 1/3-acre lots. It's a family-friendly area where kids ride bikes, skateboard and play outside when the weather is warm. But it wasn't always a peaceful place for the family of 10: Former neighbors say that curious fans often drove by the Gosselin's house to gawk. People.com

Cheerful words, specially for Kate

In those days when everyone tends to pick on Kate I decided tobring an article tosupport Kate and remind everyone how great she is:
As Kate Gosselin attempts to keep her family together as she and husband Jon sort through their divorce, her many side projects have been put on hold. The latest project to be affected by her private turmoil is a clothing project she was helping to promote as recent as May. “Our project is on hold while she focuses on her family,” Healthtex representative Scott Pryzwansky confirmed to RadarOnline.com.
In an appearance on the Rachel Ray Show in May, Gosselin gave audience members a
gift bag of treats including DVDs of Jon & Kate Plus 8, copies of her new book, and an adorable dress which Ray described as a “Healthtex outfit she helped design and create.” While the fall clothing line is still available at Walmart, Gosselin’s involvement has come to a halt for the foreseeable future with no date for her return currently slated.

And maybe to laugh a little bit about Jon. Please watch the video on

Jon and Kate: The First Ten Years

They say that one of the most difficult event in your life after losing love one and loosing job is going through divorce. Reality TV producers have a suggestion for dealing with the separation of Jon and Kate Gosselin of TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8: Film the reality. Lets support Jon and Kate and watch”The first 10 years” episode today’s evening. I’m sure it will make us all feel much, much better.

Next Monday’s episode will be a clip show of the family’s happier times. When new episodes resume — the expected premiere date is Aug. 3 — the focus will remain on the “parent-child relationship,” Ms. O’Neill said. Still, it seems likely that the impending separation — papers for the dissolution of marriage were filed on Monday afternoon in Pennsylvania, an on-screen graphic said Monday night — will permanently change the tone and the content of the show, which has followed the lives of the Gosselins’ eight children for the past two years. New York times

"They have the opportunity to explore a situation facing a lot of American families when the parents get divorced. And it sounds like Jon and Kate have come up with a unique situation where they're going to take turns being in the house with the kids," says Jonathan Murray, executive producer of The Real World and The Simple Life. "You can explore what happens when a couple breaks up and how both are working hard to keep things as normal as possible for the kids." Ksdk.com USAToday

According to this article the court could order that the children no longer can participate on the show. Even if the parents reach a custody agreement, there's a chance "the long arm of the law will reach in and say, 'I think these kids need a child advocate because people have not been looking out for their best interests,' " Doherty says.
Another thorny issue could involve splitting the estate, which isn't just about who gets the $1.3-million house. Also, if ratings dwindle after the divorce and TLC cancels the show, either Jon or Kate could say, "Well, gee, thanks, you ruined our marriage and now we don't have this cash cow," so one could demand a bigger chunk of the estate, Doherty says. Kate Gosselin – of TV's Kate & Jon Plus 8 – filed legal documents to end her marriage in one of two counties in Pennsylvania where divorce cases are kept sealed. But leaks to the press have brought some of the details into the open – and caused a world of confusion. What are the grounds for divorce? Is Kate really claiming the pair separated two years ago?
There are two grounds for a no-fault divorce request in Pennsylvania – Kate opted for both, which is also standard – and this is where the language in the filings, first reproduced on
TMZ, gets technical and confusing. "The first is called 'mutual consent,' " Gold-Bikin says. That means that if, after 90 days, both sides officially agree the marriage is irretrievably broken, then the divorce can proceed. The second ground states that if, two years from now, the grounds for divorce still hasn't been resolved by the spouses, then one party can file an affidavit alleging the marriage is irretrievably broken. At that point, the court appoints an official known as a master to hold a hearing and work out any unresolved financial issues. Jon and Kate have just begun the divorce process, and so far are taking the high road. Of course, what happens next in the volatile lives of this television couple is anybody's guess.

Sealed divorce record offers privacy to Jon & Kate

I believe that at this time both Kate and Jon needs our support. I will continue to be fan of the show and post almost daily

Sealed divorce record offers privacy to Jon & Kate KansasCity.com

Jon and Kate Gosselin don't live in Montgomery County, Pa. So why are the stars of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" getting divorced there?
One likely answer: to take advantage of an unusual local rule that keeps prying eyes away from divorce records. In Montgomery County, a wealthy enclave outside Philadelphia, divorce filings are automatically placed under seal - barring access to the media and the public and allowing fractious couples like the Gosselins to dissolve their broken marriages in private.
The rule was written decades ago, before no-fault divorce became an option and at a time when divorce petitions tended to be more explosive and salacious than they are today, said Richard Hodgson, the county's president judge.
